We understand that ensuring your baby sleeps safely will be your overriding concern:

Feet to Foot

Although the risk of Cot death is very small, you can help protect your baby by always placing them on their back in the recommended sleeping position of ‘feet to foot’. This will prevent them from wriggling down under the covers and becoming overheated. Covers should also be firmly tucked in, no higher than the shoulders.

Hygiene

It is essential to keep your baby’s mattress clean and dry. Mamas & Papas mattresses come with a removable cover that can be machine washed to kill dust mites, which could help prevent your baby from developing allergic reactions. Rotating the mattress head to foot is also important to help retain its shape. Spare covers are available for when your current cover is being washed and dried.

Other safety considerations

Ensure that the size is correct by checking that any gaps at the sides or ends are less than 4cm to prevent little arms and legs becoming trapped It is recommended that you buy a new mattress for each child.
